 Earnest Ross

With more than a handful of worthy candidates, Earnest Ross wins the 08/09 MIPY

 

Ross led the Catamounts to a 28-3 mark with a scoring average of 20.9. He was able to pick and choose his spots to take over with a talented group of teammates around him.  Over the season his rebounding was consistently better than last season and he also became a better defender.  The future Auburn Tiger as the ability to take over a game with a quick offensive flurry, but primarily did his scoring within the offensive scheme.

Harrison George was the fan choice for MIPY, and there were at least five other guys that got serious consideration, but in the end Earnest Ross was the Most Impressive Player of The Year from start to finish.
