Enloe's Chapman should weigh in on whether or not the East will be victorious
Monday July 19, 2010
The NC Coaches Association All-star game has been played in Greensboro since 1949. In 1960, when the Greensboro Coliseum was completed, the game moved there and has been ever since. On Monday night the East All-Stars will be looking to repay the West for the 124-92 pounding they took in 2009.
In last year’s game, the West had a quickness advantage on the perimeter and a noticeable size advantage inside. This year, there is no real height disparity. However, look for Rocky Mount’s TaShawn Mabry and James Carlton from Winterville South Central to dominate the boards.
The East also will have at least two more than capable point guards in Dory Hines from Kinston and the Triangle’s very own future NCCU Eagle Emanuel Chapman. Headlining the East squad is UNC Chapel Hill bound Reggie Bullock, also from Kinston.
The West is led by the backcourt tandem of high scoring Jeremy Ingram and do everything guard Kendell Bethea. This should be a fun one to watch.
