John Wall and Ryan Kelly split head to head season matches and end up with a share of Trianglehoops.net's Most Outstanding Player Of The Year

After hours and hours of debate we decided to split the award this year. Wall and Kelly both played at extremely high levels this seasons and were surrounded by talented teammates that allowed them to tally up several wins.

Ryan Kelly

Kelly has been named as a McDonald's All-American and will play in the upcoming annual game.  The Duke bound Forward was also recognized as the NC Gatorade Player Of The Year.  Kelly will graduate as the Ravenscroft Raven's all-time leading scorer, averaging over 25 points and 10 rebounds this past season.  The Ravens reached the NCISAA 3-A Finals, but were unsuccessful in their championship bid.

John Wall

As  a co-winner, John Wall becomes our first award winner to go back to back.  The undecided guard is regarded as the top Class of 2009 player by most.  Wall led the Word of God Holy Rams to a runner-up finish in the NCISAA 1-A State Tournament.  Wall was recently honored as the AP Player of The Year for NC as well.  On the year he went for over 21 points and 9 assists a game, making his most impressive strides on defense, effectively playing post defense at times.  During a six game stretch in January, Wall went for an eye opening 31.2 per game.  Games like that make him on of the most sought after players in the nation.
