With so many games, there is no way to catch everything.  Here are some highlights of what was seen on Saturday

CP3 Allstars vs Nashville Celtics Bob Gibbons TOC 2010

Sunday May 30, 2010

Local fans were packied into the Dail Center gym to catch the CP3-Allstars and local standouts Dezmine Wells and Bishop Daniels.  CP3 also have UNC PJ Hairston, Marquis Rankin, and Josheph Uchebo.  Uchebo has been a monster the first two days of the tournament scoring in the post with quick moves, rebounding, and blocking/altering shots.  Most amazing about the NC State commit, he has reclassified from the class of 2012 to 2011.  Reclassification usually goes in the other direction.

Wells and Daniels were crowd pleasers in the late afternoon game, finishing off the Nashville Celtics with rim rocking dunks.  Wells had 25 points and Daniels had 12.  For the Celtics, PG Anthony Hicky, frm Hopkinsville, KY was a standout.  The quick 5'11" player made it to the rim numerous times and has the ability to finish at the rim, even with contact, or find open teammates fro good shots.

Travion Leonard was a match up problem inside, as Carolina Elite made it past the Jacksonville Lee Bulls.  Leonard will be key to the success of Kestrel Heights next season.  The 6'8" big currently has offers from ECU, UNC-Wilmington, and Duquesne.

Followning the Carolina Elite game, the NC Gaters faced off against I-4 Team Power from Georgia.  Chris "CJ" Washington from Team Power was eye catching.  The 6'6" forward prefers to bomb away from the outside, where he can connect, but also showed great rebounding prowess and ability to score around the basket.

For the Gaters, PG Mitchell Oates was impressive with quick moves, good outside touch, and ability to find teammates in right spots.  Quincy Drye is a wing scorer with a strong mid-range game.  Power forward, Harrison Browne showed off a good touch around the basket, whether it was with post moves or finishing in transition.  He is a very solid player.
